Jacobwise & Co offers a discounted virtual filing fee of $249 when you file online and pay for your tax preparation services upfront. However, certain situations can cause the fee to be different than what is quoted for virtual tax preparation:
- Not paying your tax preparation upfront: By not paying for your tax preparation upfront, you would need to request paying your tax preparation service through your tax return. However, this will add the bank and processing fees to your tax preparation fee.
- Requesting a refund advance: Refund advances are processed by our tax service bank: Refund Advantage aka Pathward, which requires you to have a bank and processing fee added to your tax return preparation fee.
